@Klgangle :
Youhave every right to your opinion.

Now that that's out of the way:

The comments on a person's blog are not protected by the first amendment. If the author chooses to keep thir blog as a safe, happey, drama free place where they and their readers may go to commune in peace, then that is ther perogative. I have personally only feleted one comment form my own blog, and it was form my father. I was well within my rights. Emily Puts her life out there, yes. Yes, you have a right to ask questions. But that doesn't mean anybody is obligated to answer them.

If you're offended, bothered, or otherwise irritated by the contents of her Twitter feed and her blog, then un-follow her and stop visiting the blog.

@Emily, I hate you. You post one post and get at least 10 comments. I've had my blog up for almost two years and get bupkis (It's my own fault for not aggressively marketing it, not posting frequently, and not posting about anything anyone gives a rats ass about :p ). You suck, in the coolest way :)

Emily, I have a family member who has lupus and has had it for over 20 years. That prompted me to search out other people with lupus quite a while ago. Someone I have been in contact with for two years led me to your twitter page.

My family member has had lupus for many years and was so ill she nearly died twice. She was able to reduce her pain meds, have her maintenance drugs adjusted and works a 45 hour week in a high-stress job. She also has a husband and active teen-aged children.

Lupus doesn't always rob one of life to the point of being bed-ridden. Since you posted on Twitter about the details of your illness, the way you depend on your in-laws and mother for financial support, and your inability to care for your toddler, then asked us to come read your blog, you opened yourself and situation up to questions.

AND?I am totally aware of what Lupus can do to your life,health and your physical and emotional well-being.I was diagnosed with Lupus myself in 2007.I do not have Rheumatoid Arthritis(although I do carry the Rheumatoid Factor)I also have an overlap of Sjogrens Syndrome(AI illness that attacks your eyes,mouth,etc and can affect organs also)Fibro as a tagalong and Myofascial Pain Syndrome.So I am probably alot more familiar with what she is going thru than you realize.Lupus is a harsh disease(although I do not consider my self a cripple)I too am Mother(2)Wife,and Sick.I too have been prescribed Chemo/organ transplant anti-rejection meds,steriods and a host of others.I am well aware of all the ramifications of this illness.I simply ask how she defends her choice as a SLE patient to continue to live off of the monies of others when her and her hubby are both home(with help)and also moved her son to a even more expensive daycare.I am sure this too will be removed and go unanswered.And quick as can be a fail-safe put into place so that all comments not deemed worthy will be author screened and removed(which I think is the biggest hypocrisy of blogs there is-if you want to portray and put your life out for people to read about they should be free to comment and ask questions or you should remove the comment portion and up front add a disclaimer that only comments that build up the post/author are allowed and nothing controversial or negative is allowed)Life is hard.So is any illness.Lupus is tough.I cannot believe I am the only person who reads her twitter that thinks these things I guess I was the only one who had enough to finally ask question.I hope that people dont read this blog and think that this is how all Lupus people end up.You most certainly can live with this illness.You have to make the choice to fight not take to your bed.

No I am not a hater(via twitter)I stumbled across your twitter and followed for a while and read all about your situation The info I have is not from me knowing you personally but from what you twittered about.If that is how you determine I know alot about you then perhaps you should reevaluate what you put on the web as every question I asked you about money,help,daycare,you and hubby being home and inlaws paying your way(along with your mom who hubby now has to be nice to since she is supporting you financially)are all things that YOU SAID on twitter in the last month.I am just asking a legit question How do you defend that?You cant have expected to not have to have people question things when you expose your situation.

I look forward to reading your blog and I really love your design :)
I have just recently been diagnosed with Lupus and I am also a mom. I have been very fortunate to not be too very sick so far, but it is always a challenge on some days.
Best of luck with your blog and I look forward to tuning in :)
