Some days I think I must be mentally ill, I can tell you stories of the mistakes that the doctors have made on my son in the last three years!! OMG, I need a punching bag. The best advice I ever got was to cry when I need to cry, and always accept the way I am feeling. My son was having at least 40 seizures a day when he finally got help, he was 10 months old then. My hubby and I tried to point this out to his former pediatrician when my son was 6 months old. I have trouble moving on from this, I guess I have PTSD or something. BUt, I live for the good days. No, I have not been able to seek professional help for myself, my son has been in physical therapy for three years, and then his Occupational therapy and speech therapy, and now he is in school. That is mostly good, had some bumps, but I think I took care of them for now.
Being a Mom would never be easy, and of course, its even harder with health problems. I hope you will be feeling better, and I hope you and your family will stay strong! Love, Diane

Are you the mama who was on the radio with Dennis and Michelle today?? I am right there with ya, my son is going to be four in a couple of weeks, and he is just finally getting potty training. He has Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy, and he is such a tough little man!! You would never believe it if you saw him. I have a daughter who is 6 now, and already acts like a teenager!! I swear, one is behind, and one is ahead, and I cant keep up with either one of them!!! oh well, its good exercise though. Do you like the Dennis and Michelle show? I have to wait until I get my daughter on her bus to tune it, but, they are soooo funny!! Have a great day! Diane

My Tyler always did better in school (daycare) than at home! I guess it's the norm for kids to be good at school and then turn naughty when they get home! *LOL* Keep up the good work little buddy. Mommy, pretty soon this will be a reflection of the past and you won't remember so much of the horrid details. ;)

Hurrah for him!

There's an airport in Sweden (I think, I'd have to go back and look at my blog to be sure) that has etched a fly (a regular housefly) into the basin of all their toilets - it improves the aim factor by some phenomenal amount because all the guys pee on the fly - here, now I'm curious....
